“The silent tsunami”

Putting those two pictures next to one another creates a contrast between the different lifestyles in the world. Some people can chose among a variety of food, others wish they could have the least in order to survive. A high contrast between the colors of the two pictures is visible. The picture on the right side touches the reader emotionally because of the young child’s facial expressions. In the other picture we can see how the young girl decides not to eat whereas she should be thankful for what she has got in front of her. “STARVING, AN OPTION?” is an interrogative form and was used in order to awaken the reader’s curiosity.
